Happy Friday! Wow, it feels great to be back blogging. It has been over a month, which is crazy. Blogging is my favorite activity, but sadly, like most people my age, I don’t always have time to do my favorite thing. There are these things called priorities that are always getting in my way… cough, cough (school, SAT’s, college,my future…whatever). Sometimes I wish I could flip my priority list around but school is always #1. Anyway, I have been a super horrible blogger this whole year and I know it kind of stinks but that’s really where I am in life.
In all honesty, this month has been really challenging I have had to make some huge life decisions, which sort of sent me into a funk. I didn’t exactly feel like blogging because after my last post I felt like nothing was good enough. I wanted to blog, but when I went to write, I would ask myself: is this me? is this on brand/ my niche? and my answer was “I don’t know” which led me to the question What is my brand/niche? My answer: “I don’t know.” A lot of bloggers are always talking about finding your niche and sticking to it! Example: if you’re a home decor blogger, only post things about Home Decor! This has never worked for me, if I followed this, I would have a Home Decor blog, Fashion blog, Food blog, and a Heath and Fitness blog.
The truth is as much as I want this blog to be fully developed and have a niche, that is not where this blog is right now. Why? Because that is not where I am right now. I don’t have a niche in my personal life. I have so many different interests and hobbies, and that’s okay. In fact, it’s totally normal for someone my age. Eventually, I will settle down and find a niche (I have pretty much already decided to pursue a career in interior design/architecture). Right now, I’m at the point in my life where I’m still trying to figure out everything. The best part is that I don’t need a niche. I get to experiment, try new things, meet new people, find out what I like and dislike.
I want my blog to be the same way. I want to try new things and explore all the possibilities, and above all, have fun! Also, I want to thank every person who is reading this. If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, I want to apologize for how inconsistent I’ve been. If you’re a newbie, welcome! I have so much fun new content for this summer. I can’t wait to share with you guys!
As always, if you have any questions, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I would love to hear from you!
